ADOPTION OF PIPES AND PUBLIC COLLECTION FOR THE BLATNO ORGAN
The long lost organ built in 1782 by the famous Loket builder Ignaz Schmidt for the Church of St. Michael the Archangel in Blatno near Chomutov has returned to Bohemia after a long time. They have had an adventurous journey, although in recent years they have enjoyed the loving care of the excellent Dresden organ builder Kristian Wegscheider, who partially restored them. However, they have not been played for many decades and much work remains to be done to fully restore them and return them to their native church.
You can also directly adopt one of the organ pipes. We are as curious as you are about how the organ will sound when all the repairs are completed and it can be assembled in the choir of St. Michael the Archangel Church in Blatno. Therefore, we have prepared at least an informative tour thorough organ registers and pipes so that you can imagine which pipe (or more) you would like to welcome into your family circle. The sound you hear depends largely on your device, so take everything with a grain of salt and know that a real organ will be far more beautiful!
Please start by selecting a rank. Hover your mouse over the red circle on one of stops and click or choose its name in the list below the picture. It is engaged by sliding the stop knob out on the left or right side of the keyboard and then sounds the appropriate pipe when you play a note on one of the manuals, hauptwerk or positiv, or use the pedal. The ranks can be combined in a variety of ways, and when the key/pedal is pressed, different coloured pipes are sounded at the same time.)
